Karl Geiger, the Munich-based tuner who only likes American cars, has picked a new Shelby GT500 for his latest project, which is turning an already bonkers Mustang into a furious monster! You see the car in talk comes with a 540 hp V8 engine, which seems like a lot. But with Geiger treatment it develops no less than 810 hp and 945 nm of torque.
To achive this, Geiger has installed a 3.3 litre compressor on this engine and gave it arger throttle valves, a modified injection system, a 100 millimetre air flow meter and machined cylinder heads, as well as additional coolers for charge air, coolant and engine oil.
Because there’s so much torque, the transmission also had to be reinforced and in the same step its 5th and 6th gears were shortened. It is also equipped with a 3 disc carbon clutch, and a custom sport exhaust system with racing catalytic converters.
The tuner bolts OZ alloy wheels in 8.5 and 10×20 inch size on this car and wrap them up in 245/35ZR20 and 285/30ZR20 Michelin high performance tyres. Furthermore, the braking system is improved using 360mm discs and 6-piston callipers, and the chassis is also enhanced by a Panhard rod made from chrome-moly steel including polyurethane bushes on the ends to balance the axial offset and new reinforced and adjustable trailing arms for improved rear axle directional stability.
