This is the all-new 2011 Hyundai Verna, also known as Accent in some markets, and as you have already noticed it looks too like the new Sonata. Now, it’s good that the new Verna is not a pig-faced piece of junk like its predecessor, but it has lost all its character and became like a discount version of the Sonata.

The 2011 Verna also has the same sort of curvy roofline which Hyundai insists to call coupe-like while it isn’t! Mercedes CLS yes, but this, NO! Of course this model is apparently exclusive for the Chinese market, and maybe the European version will be a little different.

This model can be had with either a 1.4-litre DOCH engine with 107 hp and 135 Nm of torque, or a 1.6-litre DOCH with around 120 hp and 155 Nm of torque. Choices for gearbox include a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual. The 1.4 model equipped with the manual gearbox has an average fuel consumption of 5.7 liters per 100 Km (6.2 with the automatic).

Hyundai says that the new is also carefully engineered to be as safe as possible and it qualifies for all 5 safety stars of EuroNCAP.
