Yes, after watching episode three of Top Gear season 15 we too are in love with the Maserati Quattroporte! And now Novitec has made it all the more delicious by fitting its engine with a supercharger. Available for both S and the awesome GTS models, this kit helps the car’s V8 engine to generate 590 hp and peak torque of 572 Nm.

The 4.7-liter eight-cylinder four-valve engine of the Maser gets a cogged-belt-driven mechanical compressor, water-to-air intercooler with dedicated water circulation, custom intake manifold and larger injectors as well as revised engine electronics. The boost pressure is also raised to 0.35 bar.

Novitec promises that despite all the added power, the car remains as smooth and delicate for every day driving. But you get better performance as it now goes from zero to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and to 200 km/h in 14.9 seconds, while the top speed 290 km/h.

The engine package is a bit costly though, as it’s a 19,900 Euros job.

As for the body, Novitec only offers a very discrete rear carbon fiber spoiler which is a good job, because anything bigger could ruin the car’s magnificent styling. But they take care of handling by fitting the car with three-piece alloy 21-inch wheels with five double spokes design which are wrapped in 255/30 ZR tires at front and 295/30 ZR at the back.

The car also gets a sport height-adjustable suspension specifically calibrated to the new wheels.

Novitec’s Quattroporte has all the ingredients of a full blooded sportscar, but since it’s first a luxury saloon, the tuner offers a interior package as well with elegant trimming, leather and alcantara upholstery and new toys such as TV, Blu-Ray player and high-speed internet connection.
