Adrian Newey, the genius Formula 1 guru who is the brain behind some of the most successful F1 cars, has been admitted to hospital following his crash during Ginetta sport car race at Snetterton, UK. Newey was driving driving a guest car as he was hit by another driver and spun, which caused Newey to hit Tony Hugues’ car side-on.

Even though he left the track on a stretcher, the injuries are not severe and he was taken to hospital for some precautionary checks. Meanwhile Ginetta boss Lawrence Tomlinson is trying to score some points for his cars by talking about the G50’s strength in tolerating the impact!

Adrian Newey is now working for Red Bull, and obviously they are winning one race after another.
