The four-door Estoque is a fabulous concept of a Lamborghini sedan, but it was introduced during the recently-gone world financial crisis which caused many amazing projects to be canned. At that time it didn’t make sense to Lamborghini to spend a fortune developing this car, which could have no real market at all! Fortunately though, things have changed since then, and apparently the Estoque is back on the table.
As a matter of fact, Lamborghini CEO has confirmed during a recent interview with Bloomberg that the addition of a four-door model to the range is a strong possibility. After all they witnessed success of Porsche Panamera and the recently released Aston Martin Rapide and thought why don’t we get a piece of this?!
“A third model would fit Lamborghini very well,” Chief Executive Officer Stephan Winkelmann, 45, said in an interview at the carmaker’s Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters. “A four- door car would be a very feasible approach.”
Lamborghini also started a new facility for developing advanced materials, mainly carbon fiber, which was a heavy investment and wouldn’t be worth it unless they have big plans or future.
