I know I know, you have heard about Jaguar’s new sportscar many many times before and honestly we too finds it a bit hard to believe! This time it seems to be more legit though, after all Jaguar is loaded with TATA money and they’re having very good days with sales. So the chances that the 2013 Jaguar C-Type actually becomes reality are not bad.

The new C-type will be a two-seater sports roadster in the same class as BMW Z4 and Mercedes SLK-Class. This compact sportscar will feature an advanced aluminum spaceframe as well as a fabric roof. So it’ll be a light, nimble and fast roadster like classic British sportscars.

As for the engine, the word is Jaguar will offer it with a V6 and a V8. It can also get an R-version with a supercharged V8. The gearbox will almost certainly be the current six-speed automatic with the rotary knob. It’s also going to be affordable, with a projected starting price of around 39,000 Euros.

You might see the Jaguar C-type as a concept in near future, but what worries us is Jaguar’s tradition of making awesome concepts and then not putting them into production!
