Sebastian Vettel Is 2010 Formula 1 World Champion

By winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this afternoon, Sebastian Vettel claimed the world title and became the youngest ever Formula 1 world champion. Of course he must be thankful to Fernando Alonso and Ferrari strategists, who did not manage to finish in top four, thus handing over the 2010 title to the German.

So, Vettel is the number 1, and so is his team Red Bull-Renault which topped the teams ranking. After Vettel, Alonso is the vice champion, while the other Red Bull driver Mark Webber who played a major role in the team’s success became third.

Red Bull is of course the most incredible team of the year with their consistent performance, but the most disappointing team of the year was indeed Mercedes, with Schumacher and Rosberg, who finished the season in 7th and 9th positions. Mercedes is placed fourth in the constructors table below all the major teams that actually matter, specially McLaren, and with a not so good score of 214 which is 182 less than Ferrari, which came third below McLaren, mostly due to a poor performance by Massa, who may loose his seat next year.

Here’s the drivers and constructors table:
