Freelander SD4 Sport 1 at Land Rover Freelander 2 SD4 Sport

The new special limited edition of the Land Rover Freelander 2 revealed at the Bologna Motor Show, and it’s called the SD4 Sport. The car is limited to 500 unit and comes with dynamic exterior and interior styling with unique colors. It is based on the 190PS diesel model and goes on sale from early 2011 with prices starting at £33,945.

Changes to the exterior over the normal models include a sophisticated black finish to the grille and the side vents, a new body styling pack which offers cleaner profiling to the front corners, as well as a rear spoiler, 19″ Shadow Chrome alloy wheels, body coloured door handles and mirror caps, and privacy glass.

The interior is available in Ebony Windsor leather with contrast Pimento stitch, or Ebony Napoli leather with matching contrast Windsor leather highlight stripe on the seats. Piano Black fascia finisher also features together with Ebony carpet mats with a contrast edge of either Ivory or Pimento.

The 190 PS diesel engine of the Freelander SD4 which is high-performance and efficient takes it from standing still to 60mph in 8.7 seconds and enables it to achieve an increased top speed of 118mph.

It also features Intelligent Power Management System (IPMS) provides ‘smart charging’ of the battery by recovering kinetic energy when the vehicle is slowing wherever possible, rather than consuming fuel by charging when the vehicle is accelerating. Furthermore, CO2 emissions are reduced to 185g/km with a corresponding fuel economy benefit thanks to the fact that it is compatible with 10 percent biodiesel rather than five percent.
