It took them a few days more than the others, but finally Lewis Hamilton and Jensen Button revealed their 2011 McLaren MP4-26 Formula 1 car during an event in Berlin. Hamilton had hinted before the new car looks different than the rivals but this single image they’ve sent out is not that revealing to be honest!

More images and possibly a video of the unveiling ceremony will probably emerge soon, and we will find out how different they made the MP4-26. Of course due to the new rules and regulations regarding aerodynamics they are going to have to feature the same high nose as the others and the moving rear wing a well. The livery of the team has also hardly changed, but the new Pirelli tires make this car, and indeed all the other cars, look a bit like the old F1 cars!

McLaren drivers have recently praised the performance of the new Pirelli tires. The 2011 car will hit the track next week at Jerez circuit.
