The guys at Autocar magazine gave us today a preview of Jaguar’s new small saloon, better known as the BMW 3-series rival! Based on the rendering provided, it is a downsized XF with a really weird face.
And since it’s going to be a rival for the 3-Series it’s not hard predicting some of the details: front-engine, rear-drive, premium grade interior and price, great handling,… we just can’t get our head around the way it looks. We hope the final production version which is due in 2014 is substantially different, we really do!
With the recent financial success of JLR group, Jaguar is keen on expanding the lineup and increasing production volume. So besides the new small sedan,they’re also working on a light weight sports roadster and a radical crossover vehicle. There’s even some rumors about a premium hatchback from the brand but that is not very likely as they don’t see a big enough market for it to return the investment.
