Gemballa revealed two of their latest offerings at the 2011 Top Marques Monaco show, the place for the most exclusive and prestigious hyper cars.

These new Gemballas include the 2011 Cayenne TORNADO and the Panamera MISTRALE. Both cars are modified so deep, it’s like they’ve rebuilt them from scratch. That doesn’t mean they’ev changed the cars for the better, at leas in terms of design, but you can’t undermine their imposing presence. And after all that’s how Gemballa design works.

To maintain exclusivity, Gemballa will only make 30 units of each car, because of the brand’s 30th anniversary.

Most of the new bod parts are made from carbon fiber and therefore they’re incredibly light and rigid. They’ve put as much effort into engineering as they have in the design and styling.

“We have significantly reduced weight, but without compromising strength, safety or comfort,” explained Andreas Schwarz, CEO of GEMBALLA GmbH. “Rather than cutting into the steel panels and bonding on new parts, as is common in the aftermarket industry, we completely replace entire panels with bespoke carbon-fibre ones that use the original mounting points,” he said. “These new panels, which include the bonnet, front wings, doors, front and rear bumper/valance, save a total of 70kg.”

Both cars get the latest GEMBALLA’S 22-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. These forged weigh the same as the smaller OEM set while being stiffer, stronger and better made. Inside the wheels you get the new high performance brake system was developed in collaboration with Brembo, exclusively for the MISTRALE and TORNADO. Massive 411mm cross-drilled, vented discs with six-piston monoblock calipers in front are partnered by 380mm cross-drilled, vented discs with four-piston fixed calipers at the rear.

Then there is the power upgrade package. Stage I will offer 580hp for the Cayenne/TORNADO, and 610hp for the Panamera/MISTRALE powered by the twin-turbo V8 engine. But that’s for the novice. Ace drivers should go for the stage II which gives both cars 700hp, and around 1,000Nm of torque. It’s done by using larger turbochargers, a modified intake system, high efficiency intercoolers, sports exhaust, free-flow catalytic converters and bespoke ECU remapping.

As always there’s a bespoke interior treatment based on the customer’s specs, with perfectly colour-co-ordinated upholstery fashioned from the finest leathers and Alcantara. In fact each part of the cars can be individualized, so no two Gemballa cars are exactly the same.
