While Porsche 911 Turbo delivers performance of a full-blooded supercar, it doesn’t really sound like one. That’s where TechArt’s new offerings come in to liven things up a bit.
They’ve come up with two new power upgrade kit and a new Sport exhaust system which they say make the extraordinary power of the car more audible! This system is recognized with twin tailpipes in glossy chrome with embossed TECHART logotype.
As for the power kits, first there’s the TA 097/T1 package which adds an extra 51 kW (70 hp) and 80 Nm compared to the series model, through optimized engine control and the use of the TECHART Sport air filter. With this kit installed the Turbo goes form zero to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. Then there’s the TA 097/T2 which is a more serious package and offers a total of 456 kW (620 hp) as wall as maximum torque of 820 Nm. That’s huge gain over the standard car.
The engine conversion in the second kit involves the installation of the TECHART Sport air filter, the TECHART manifolds and the TECHART Exhaust system “sport” and of course ECU remapping. The result of this extra power is 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 2.9 seconds.
