In its quest to become a premium luxury brand, Hyundai launched the Genesis Prada in South Korea.
Based on the 2012 Hyundai Genesis, the Prada model is limited to 1,200 units and is powered by Tau 5.0 GDi V8 engine. This uber-lux super saloon features unique styling touches from Prada and will later on reach the Middle Eastern and Asian countries, including Chinese market as well.
Genesis Prada comes in three special colors – Black Nero, Blue Baltico and Brown Moro and features dark chrome on the radiator grille, emblem and door handles to reflect the unique palladium-coated buckles on Prada’s bags. Other Prada touches on the outside include include also 19-inch alloy wheels and an outer antenna with a wedge shape.
For the interior, the dashboard and the upholstery have been revised and artisan-crafted in “saffiano” leather – Prada’s signature top quality leather. The car also gets some Prada badge and GP500 emblems. Customers can also personalize their cars.
