Ferrari’s global design contest enters its second stage, with seven international design schools as finalists.

These finalists competing to come up with the perfect futuristic supercar for Ferrari include IED and IAAD from Turin (Italy), the London Royal College of Arts (UK), the European Design Institute Barcelona (Spain), Seoul’s Hong-ik College (Korea), the DSK Supinfocom from Pune (India) and the College For Creative Studies in Detroit (USA).

The contest is launched by Ferrari and supported by their technical partner Autodesk. In this second part of the competition, which follows the part of the style research, the finalists will be involved in the creation of the three models every school can present: in 3D Autodesk Alias and as a physical model in a scale of 1:4.

The qualities Ferrari is looking for in this hyper car of the future are hyper-light and hyper-fast, hyper-ecologic and hyper-technological. The focus in this stage is mainly on the interior.

The first stage saw 50 schools presenting more than 200 design concepts. The winners, with the results announced in July, will win an internship at Ferrari, and cash prizes.
