Besides the 500C Italia we’ve just been looking at, Abarth will also reveal the new 695 Competizione at the 2011 IAA.

This one is more focused on performance than style, and according to Abarth it is the first “street legal” Scorpion racing car.

On the outside you have the familiar Abarth body kit with the exclusive Grigio Competizione Opaco livery. Inside teh cabin is where things get more exciting, as you find out the rear seats are replaced by a roll bar the same Grigio Competizione Opaco shade as the bodywork.

The front sports seats are like the ones in the 500c Italia, but they comes with “Abarth Corsa by Sabelt” seats in black leather with Alcantara red inserts and a carbon fibre shell and seat base. Red stitchings, “695” logo and “competizione” graphics respectively embroidered on the headrest and backrest further enrich the seats.

The car also gets 17-inch wheels from Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari, matching the body, and Brembo brake calipers and hub cap, both red. Power comes from a 1.4 Turbo T-Jet 16v engine – tuned to develop more than 180 HP – combined with the “Abarth Competizione” gearbox with track mode.
