Hyundai released the first official shots of the new Genesis Coupe on its blog, confirming its debut at Detroit Motor Show early next year.
These are not fully revealing pics, and work better as teasers. Nevertheless they confirm the new Genesis Coupe looks almost exactly like this rendering we saw a few days ago. The front-end is affected by the Veloster and gets similar headlights, and a big grille from the new i30 and i40, while the back remains almost unchanged apart from the new graphic for the taillights.
There is also a new vented bonnet, but all in all, we think it looks too soft and cuddly. The current Geni Coupe looks more aggressive.
As for the engines, don’t hold your breath for a V8, but you can count of a supercharged V6 with 400+ hp. The 2.0 liter turbo unit is also expected to continue its service.
