Following the first renderings, and just as the leaking spree was about to begin, Hyundai drops new images of the all-new 2013 Santa Fe, revealing more of the SUV. This car is called Santa Fe is most parts of the world, but some regions may know it as the ix45. Either way, it seems to be a cracking new car by the Korean manufacturer.

Based on a new design philosophy called the “Storm Edge” which is an evolution of the “Fluidic Sculpture”, the new Santa Fe trades most of its curves for sharp edges which make it look aggressive and sporty. The curves of the old model were not cute, they were actually like the curves of a fat lady, not so interesting!

Some of the most striking new features on the new car include LED positioning lamps, LED rear combination lamps as well as 19-inch aluminum wheels. The car will also get a load of new technological features to complement its always great list of equipments.

It comes with Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), which warns drivers when the vehicle strays from its lane, as well as a 7-airbag system that includes knee airbags, plus Hyundai Blue Link infotainment system with remote access features that work with smart devices, voice text messaging and enhanced roadside assistance.

2013 Hyundai Santa Fe debuts at the 2012 New York International Auto Show in early April.
