Dragon 88 is the name of a limited edition series of Aston Martin models designed specifically for China. You may remember Ferrari too announced a Dragon-themed version of the 458 for the Chinese market. The Dragon package is available for DBS Volante, Virage Coupe, and V8 Vantage S Coupe models, and as the name suggests, is limited to only 88 cars.

Aston Martin Dragon 88 models also get a number of unique colors, including Volcano Red, Amethyst Red, and Champagne Gold. There’s some logic behind all this. That Volcano Red is the symbol of the fire of the dragon, while the Amethyst Red represents wealth and peace. The  Champagne Gold of course reflects prestige and class.

Other details of the Dragon 88 collection include  24-karat gold badging, dragon-embroidered headrests, gold inlays, and Piano Black trim. Just reading about this stuff, you know these cars are going to be hugely expensive, and targeted at China’s new-money businessmen.

Good thing they’re only offered in China!
