Ford Fiesta Van ECOnetic

Fiesta Van ECOnetic at Ford Fiesta Van ECOnetic

With this Fiesta Van ECOnetic, Ford unveiled one of the most fuel efficient vans in the world at the Birmingham CV Show. It is still a Fiesta, and it is still very much a hatchback, but you get a practical 1.0 cubic metre load space, and fuel consumption of just 3.3l/100km (86.5mpg), and CO2 emissions of 87g/km. You can’t carry much more than that and remain just as frugal.

The key to this car’s frugality is a 95PS 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine, fitted with various fuel-saving technologies, including auto start/stop system.

Other ECOnetic Technology innovations contributing to Fiesta Van’s efficiency include Smart Regenerative Charging, Eco Mode and shift indicator light, as well as optimised gear ratios, enhanced aerodynamics with lowered suspension, undershields and wheel deflectors, and rolling resistance tyres.

This van does have limited cargo space, yes, but it also has exceptionally low cost-of-ownership. So, the ends should meet at the end of the day.
