Porsche released new details, pictures and a promo video for its Cayenne GTS. Cooked with the same recipe as the Panamera GTS, the Cayenne GTS is a hotted-up version of the Cayenne S with slight modifications to the engine for a bit more power, a body kit, a sporty interior and revised chassis. The V8 engine in this car develops 420 PS.

In addition to its normal range of colors, Cayenne GTS can also be ordered in two special ones shades: Carmine Red or Peridot Metallic. The exterior is further tweaked with athletic lower front and rear fascia elements, dynamic side skirts, wheel arch extensions and rear spoiler with fixed bi-plane design, as well as a sport exhaust system and gloss black accents.

Inside the cabin you get seats with 8-way adjustment, upholstered in leather and Alcantara. Same material is found on the door panels, armrests, and rooflining. The GTS interior package also include an embroidered ‘GTS’ logo on the head restraints on the front and outer rear seats. There’s also a choice of further elements such as front and outer rear seat belts and decorative seams on the dashboard, upper door panels and armrests in contrasting color.

In terms of dynamics, the Cayenne GTS features a lowered ride height, 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels, standard with six-piston monobloc aluminum fixed calipers at the front and four-piston equivalents at the rear. Also standard is the PASM, Porsche’s unique stability and ride control system with ‘Comfort’, ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’ modes.

As mentioned the GTS’ V8 engine makes 420 hp at 6,500 rpm. Maximum torque of 380 lb.-ft. To drive that translates into 0 to 60 mph in just 5.4 seconds and top speed of 162 mph. The car comes as standard with eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission, while optional is the Sport Chrono Package.

The Cayenne GTS goes on sale in July 2012 with a price tag of 90,774 eur.
