Granted, after the 991 Porsche 997 looks pretty dated. But it is still a great sports car and has a lot to live for. If you think about it, with the new model on the market prices for the 997 are on a slippery slope. Get the car, get a tuning package for it, you’ll enjoy it more than a brand-new 991. Here’s a nice and subtle kit from Cars &Art to improve the 997 Carrera 4S.
The 997 gets a revised front bumper with extra holes in it and a GT3 spoiler lip. At the back you get a new diffuser unit and four new tailpipes belonging to a sport exhaust system with volume control.
The diffuser is finished in body color, which is a bit weird, given the black front spoiler, black sills, black exhausts and black wheels. Speaking of the wheels, they are OZ Ultraleggera HLT 20inch models with ultra-fat 325 tires on the rear. A suspension kit from H&R drops the car by 25mm.
The interior is modified as well, with Alcantara generously used to cover the seats, doors panels, gear lever, steering wheel, the dashboard even. And it’s all hand-stitched Alcantara with diamond pattern which looks extra cool.
Cars & Art packages are usually great, but they are not very good with names. Last year they did this Carrera and named it ‘Pretty Boy.’ Ad this one here is called the ‘Red Baron.’
