Aston Martin has reportedly limited production of the lavish Zagato V12 model to just 101 units, considerably less than the 150 they’d initially planned. Even though the V12 Zagato is just a V12 Vantage in a fancy dress, with a £330K price tag, Aston could easily sell all the 150 units. So the reason for this decision is not lack of customers, but rather making the car even more exclusive.
This is great news for those who have already put their names down to get a V12 Zagato. 49 units less means the value of their cars will increase dramatically over the years. They buy this for 300 grand, drive it around for a few years, show it off here and there, and then sell it for twice the price they paid for it. Pretty solid investment!
Aston Martin V12 Zagato is a celebratory model that marks the reunion of the British brand with the Italian design house. It features a Zagato-designed carbon body and also a unique interior. The performance, however, is identical to that f the standard V12 Vantage models with a 520 horsepower V12 engine and a six-speed manual gearbox.
