Hyundai has issued a rather sizable recall for over 220,000 units of sonata models (2012-2013) and Santa Fe models (2007-2009) for an issue with the their front passenger airbag system. It might not open in case of an accident. There is a problem with the control module software, the occupant classification system (OCS), and it will be fixed with a simple update that will be done free of charge.
Affected vehicles in the U.S. include 199,118 Santa Fe models and 22,512 Sonatas.
