As you may know an all-new Land Rover Defender is in the works as we speak, and will be revealed in a couple of years. But until then Land Rover is not going to let Defender lovers to be left with the only the old model. They just announced a new XTech special edition version. It is available as both 90 Hard Top and 110 Utility Wagon, and comes with unique visual features.

The XTech can be had in two special colors, Orkney Grey or striking Nara Bronze, the latter being a bespoke color only available for this edition of the Defender. The paint job is complemented with Santorini Black roof and wheel arches and black chequer plate along the bumper and sills. You get more Santorini Black accents around the headlights, plus a body colour grille, and a big DEFENDER decal at the back. The wheels are Saw Tooth 16-inch alloys finished in gloss black, wrapped in MTR off-road tyres.

Ebony leather adorns the interior, where you also get Land Rover logo embossed on front headrests and carpet mats with the Defender logo woven in. What’s more, the central switch panel matches the body colour of the vehicle with the same paint finish.

In terms of equipments, the XTech gets Air Conditioning, Anti-Lock Brakes with Electronic Traction Control, central locking with remote control and heated seats and windscreen. And as for the engine, it’s a 2.2-litre diesel with six-speed manual transmission.

The XTech is what you can call an ultimate Defender. The car is now on sale, starting at £27,995.
