You would be a complete fool to go and buy a Ford Mondeo now – what with the new and extremely beautiful Fusion-based version coming. But for those who already have one and want to spice it up a bit, Loder1899 has come up with a package. This should keep things interesting until you get to buy the new model. The package consists of some visual upgrades, an a much-needed engine upgrade.

For the appearances, you get a nice new front spoiler, side skirts, and a rear apron. These parts are also available in carbon fibre, but you have to pay much more for them. There is also a set of 9×20 Vergito Viginti wheels with 245/30R tires, and a a set of sport springs that drop the car by as much as 30mm.

As for the performance, Loder’s kit concerns the 2.2-liter TDCI engine and via some serious ECU remapping, enables it to make 244 hp and over 500 Nm of torque. That means you go from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.0 seconds and each a top speed of 228 km/h. The good news is, fuel consumption remains roughly the same as standard.

What’s more, the tuner has fitted the Mondeo with sport catalysts in its exhausts and stainless steel pipes, so it makes a nicer noise as well.
