During the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim this past weekend, McLaren pit crew did something truly amazing by pulling off a 2.3 seconds pit stop, the quickest ever. It bests the previous record by 0.3 seconds. They managed to change all four tires on Jensen Button’s car in that time, thus helping the Brit to rejoin the race in second position ahead of the local boy Sebastian Vettel.

Button held on to that position till the end. He totally owes this second-place podium finish to his awesome pit crew. These guys haven’t been enjoying the best reputation in the paddock for making some terrible mistakes throughout the season, but they’ve definitely redeemed themselves with this effort.
