Manual gearbox – or stick shift – might be on its way out as far as some of the car makers like Ferrari or Mercedes are concerned, but Jaguar has decided they are not yet ready to let it go. Along with the flappy paddle option for the lazy drivers, Jaguar will also offer a manual gearbox for some of its cars in the future, including the upcoming F-Type.
Jaguar F-Type is ought to be the most perfect sports car the world has ever seen, and it just cannot be that without a proper manual gearbox. The F-Type’s combination of open-top body, a supercharged V6 or V8 up front, a manual ‘box in the middle, and rear-wheel drive is a mouthwatering recipe to every car lover. It is going to be awesome. Mind you, the manual option might not be available for both engines. Jaguar is yet to officially confirm the details.
And it’s not just the F-Type that gets the stick either. Jaguar’s long-rumored BMW 3-Series fighter is reportedly going to be offered with a manual gearbox as well.
