McLaren recently invited 10 journalists to have a long 1,800 km drive, a road trip basically, in the Mp4-12C super car across four European countries, from their headquarter in Woking, UK, to Monte Carlo, Southern France. Now, this is a journey that would be fun in a Citroen 2CV, let alone in a 625-hp mid-engined super car. The journos not only got to drive the 12C on twisty roads and freeways, they also enjoyed a spot of track driving at Reims-Gueux circuit.
We will probably get a couple of videos from the journalists involved reviwing the event, but for now check out this trailer McLaren released:
Starting at McLaren’s Woking HQ the route featured a special pitstop, the historic Reims-Gueux race circuit where Bruce won a special Grand Prix in 1962. And its final destination? Glamorous Monte Carlo, 50 years after Bruce had his first win at the world famous street circuit.
