The first official pictures of the four-wheel-drive versions of Porsche 911 leak onto to the web ahead of the car’s official debut. Porsche is probably gearing up for a Monday reveal to get our engines revving for the car’s global premiere at the Paris Motor Show in September. Well, it’s always nice to have an early unofficial look at things!

So the new Carrera 4 and Carrera 4S… To know if these four-wheel-drive 991s have got more power than their two-wheel-drive siblings we have to wait for Porsche’s official release. Carrera 2 models come with 350 horsepower for the normal and 400 horsepower for the S version.

Styling-wise, there are a couple of changes to distinguish the Carrera 4 from normal models. For example, you can clearly notice the light bar that connects that connects the taillights. It’s slimmer than the one on the previosu Carrera 4. Also at front, the car appears to have a new spoiler lip, and what seems like a radar int the middle of the front bumper. Maybe the new model is getting one of those fancy cruise control systems like that of the Mercedes S-Class.

The most noticeable difference, for die-hard Porsche fans of course, is the widened rear-end — typical of Carrera 4 models. Real Porsche enthusiasts won’t care about this car though, because they rightfully believe the best 911 you can get is the most basic one, the Carrera 2.
