A we reported earlier this year’s Pikes Peak hill climb event was won by Rhys Millen and his Genesis Coupe. But it would have been a different story if Monster Tajima could have made it to the start line. He spent a great deal of time working on an electric race car for the 2012 Pikes Peak, but things didn’t go exactly as planned and he was forced to retire.

But that doesn’t mean we won’t get to see the Monster in action. They released new videos of the man’s practice runs, and these are enough for us to realize how lucky Millen really is! Nobuhiro Tajima will be back next year to reclaim his title as the fastest man at Pikes Peak. But for now marvel at his skills in the footage below:
