Ford confirmed that the new EcoSport crossover will indeed be going on sale in Europe. The car was conceived as a global model, which is another way of saying it was designed as an economy car. Such models are usually destined for markets like India South America, or the Far East – the EcoSport was actually designed and developed in South America for that matter – but Ford must be thinking it is good enough to be sold to the Europeans.
Well, Ford EcoSport certainly looks the part, and it doesn’t seem to be any less capable than cars it will competing against in the small crossover segment.
With a number of powertrain solutions, including Ford’s newest, most advanced engine the 1.0-litre EcoBoost, Ford EcoSport is designed to be a benchmark in fuel efficiency. It also offers the Ford SYNC driver connect system with voice control and many other innovative features in a spacious and comfortable interior with new levels of craftsmanship as well as outstanding quietness and refinement.
