Someone at Porsche thought that the recently revealed 911 (991) Carrera 4 might not make sense to every body. Well, it doesn’t make sense to take an almost perfect rear-drive sports car and make it four-wheel-drive anyway. That extra traction means less driving fun. So to try and explain what the Carrera 4 is all about, they told Porsche factory driver Patrick Long to go and drive the car in different conditions.
Long came back with these videos you see below. Hopefully after watching them you come to grips with the philosophy of the four-wheel-drive 911, and why Porsche even bothers making it. If you need traction, this is the sports car to have. We, however, don’t need that much traction. So we’d take the standard Carrera S, thank you very much!
