Aston Martin announced the new V12 Vantage Roadster will be making its public debut at the Salon Prive concours this week, and also confirmed its price. The magnificent Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster is priced at £150,000. That is 50 grand for than a normal V8 Roadster, and about 20 grand more than a DB9.

To be honest we’d go for the normal V8 Roadster and save that 50 grand. The V12 is an exciting proposition, but if speed is what you want, you are far better off with the V12 coupe. We love the Vantage mostly for the way it looks, and after all, you can’t go that fast with the roof down anyway. The V8 just makes more sense, and it also doesn’t have those ugly bonnet vents.

Still, if you decided you want a V12 Roadster, you will be getting a 6.0 liter engine straight out of the DBS with 517 PS at 6,500 rpm and a muscular 570 Nm of torque at 5,750 rpm. The 0-62 mph sprint is dispatched in just 4.5 seconds while this most potent Aston Martin Roadster is capable of 190 mph.
