Lamborghini, this time rather quietly, releases another special edition of the Gallardo. This one’s for the Chinese market, and as it’s full name – Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 GZ 8 Edizione Limita – suggests, it’s limited to just 8 units. It’s a unique piece of kit though, what with that Trofeo-style body kit and Superleggera-style stripes, and of course orange wheels.

Based on an order from its Guangzhou dealer, Lamborghini has fitted these 8 LP550-2 models with carbon bits from its high-end track-ready model, including front spoiler, side mirrors, side skirts, rear diffuser, engine cover and rear wing. The engine is the same 550 horsepower V10 as in the Balboni with no upgrades whatsoever. And of course, it’s rear wheel drive.

This car costs, in China, the equivalent of $612.000. That money will buy you two Aventadors in America!
