Ford asked a couple of top NASCAR drivers to forget about MPH for a minute and focus on MPG instead, and help them promote the new Ford Fusion 1.6 liter EcoBoost by taking part in an MPG Challenge. The goal here is to see which one of these drivers can achieve the highest miles per gallon lapping Ford’s Dearborn test track. This probably is the most boring task these guys have ever been assigned.
It is good for for you and I though. If you follow Trevor Bayne, Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, and Greg Biffle in their quest win the Fuel Efficiency Challenge, they will be giving some good tips on how to save fuel along the way.
