After the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Monza came to an end and F1 teams packed their stuff and went home, Ferrari brought its drivers out again, this time to participate in a special ceremony they held to hand over one very special Ferrari 599XX Evo to an even more special Californian customer.
That Californian in question is Benjamin Sloss, who is a Google executive, which means he’s one of the few people that can actually afford a 599XX. He paid 1.4 million Euro for this yellow Ferrari, and it was money well spent, not because the car is so good – it’s not even street-legal – but because it helped the victims of the earthquake that hit the Emilia Romagna region back in May.
Benjamin turned up at Monza with his wife Christie to receive the keys to the XX from Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo, along with the Scuderia drivers, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa. He was quite rightfully thrilled with this whole thing, since he contributed to the efforts that help other human beings, and also got himself a very unique Ferrari.
