The very first pictures of the new Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder have quietly made their way to the web. The same facelift that’s been done to the hardtop, revealed at the Paris Motor Show 2012, is applied here as well, which means for the first time ever in Gallardo’s long lifespan the car actually looks ugly.

That is a remarkable achievement by Lamborghini, ruining the looks of a car everybody thought was the prettiest thing in the world. The Spyder gets a front bumper with newly shaped air intakes that are arranged in a weird manner, giving the car a jaw like that of a monster or an alien. The same pattern is found at the back, only it looks worse there.

There is also a new set of wheels which don’t look half bad.

Apart from the looks not much else has been changed. You get some new colors for the exterior as well as the interior, but performance remains the same. The Spyder still gets the 552-hp V10 engine which takes it from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and onto to a top speed of 320 km/h.
