Jaguar F Type1 at Jaguar F Type Sound: V6 vs V8

The new Jaguar F-Type, as you know, comes with either a V6 engine, in two tunes, and one V8. Each of these powertrains give the British sports car a different character. The noise they make for example might be enough reason for some people to ignore better fuel efficiency and lower price of the V6, and get the V8. In this clip we get to hear both V6 and V8. We still think the 380hp V6 makes more sense.

The 2014 Jaguar F-Type combines low vehicle weight (starting at 3,521 pounds), high power (340hp, 380hp and 495hp versions) and superb aerodynamics to achieve a pure sports car experience. That doesn’t mean any of the luxuriousness you expect from a Jaguar has been lost. This is a no compromise sports car, which is why it is a bit pricey.

The F-type will be available in the UK for £58,500, the F-Type S for £67,500 and the F-Type V8 S for £79,950.
