Porsche officially released its latest and greatest SUV in form of the 2013 Cayenne Turbo S. This car is made entirely out of astonishing numbers. 550 hp (405 kW), 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, top speed of 283 km/h, fuel consumption of 11.5 litres per 100 km, and of course, a price tag of 151,702 euros.
Cayenne Turbo S is hardly a looker – well, it’s a Cayenne – and all the new gloss black bits on the exterior including air inlet screens, headlight housings and mirror parts, plus red brake calipers and 21-inch 911 Turbo II wheels do not succeed in making it any less ugly.
The interior is totally different though. The design, the material, and the quality is just fantastic. The Turbo S gets bi-colour leather packages – black/carrera red or black/luxor beige – and exquisite carbon trims.
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S is the range topping version of the car, so naturally they crammed every single feature they had into it. It comes with air suspension and active PASM damping control, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), electronically controlled rear differential lock, and Sport Chrono package, all fitted as standard.
This is an incredible machine. We just wish it looked a bit better. That said, Cayenne and Panamera are cool cars, despite their frankly hideous looks.
