On the surface Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo concept is just a wagon version of the Panamera sedan, but there’s more to it. First of all, it’s not a wagon as such, it’s a shooting brake. It is also very different in terms of styling than the production Panamera. In fact, Porsche says the design of the Turismo showcases where they are heading next.

Here Porsche designers explain the design of this Turismo in more details:

The Sport Turismo also showcases Porsche latest hybrid powertrain, a very sophisticated system that averages 3.5 liter per 100 km. The car’s new ability to be charged from the electrical power grid has been combined with even higher performance components. The concept vehicle with its 416 hp (306 kW) of peak system power is designed to be driven in pure electric mode up to a speed of 130 km/h and can cover distances of over 30 km.
