With the exception of the Boxster, every Porsche model can be had with 4×4 system. In this video AutoExpress puts two of the latest and most popular 4×4 Porsches against each other to see which one makes more sense. It’s the 911 Carrera 4 versus the Cayenne S Diesel SUV, the new one with the 380 horsepower V8 engine.

As wonderful as the Carrera 4 is, the big off-roader is the one that makes a lot more sense for everyday use. It is cheaper than the 911, more economical, a lot more versatile, and much more practical.

The 911 remains the superior choice for someone who only uses his Porsche for recreational purposes, but if that’s what you want, you are much better off with the Carrera 2S, because it is a lot more fun.
