Classify this under the weird but cool category. This Toyota GT86Q is actually an elaborate publicity stunt by Toyota engineers at the 2012 TES engineering festival in Japan. They bring a Daihatsu Midget commercial vehicle to the stage, strip it off its body components in a record-breakingly short time, and install this caricature GT86 body on its chassis. And it works!
So this is what a Toyota GT86 midget would look like. It actually isn’t half bad. The 86Q could inspire lots of toys and kid cars. Heck, if Pixar makes another sequel to Cars, it could star in it. The Japanese rarely let their hair down, but when they do, they come up with some properly awesome stuff.
