Barracuda Racing Wheels does its thing to the Toyota GT86 and fits it with a set of their iconic Tzunamee rims. Such brash wheels should come in large sizes to be any good, so the GT86 gets the 20-inch version, and they fit really well.
The wheels are 8x20inch front and 9×20-inch rear, wrapped with 225/30R20 tires. They feature a polished face with gloss black accents. A touch of lowering and they fill up the fenders like they belong there.
Visually, this treatment is great and gives the car a much nicer look, especially if it’s also sporting an aero kit like this car here. You have to keep in mind though, one of the reasons why the GT86 is so brilliant to drive is its standard 17-inch wheels which come directly from the Prius.
They give the car just enough grip to go around corners without trouble. So it’s easy to unsettle them at normal speeds and have fun with the car. Switching to larger wheels ruins that characteristic, it also outs more pressure on the 200hp engine. It needs to work overtime to spin them at the same pace as the standard wheels.
