At the 2013 Detroit Motor Show Acura will unveil a new version of its MDX crossover vehicle. It’s a concept prototype previewing the firm’s new “Aero Sculpture” design language. They say the new MX has smoother and more arching body lines, which result in a more beautiful but still highly functional design.
The new MDX maintains Acura’s traditional grille and headlight though; things that need changing most of all. But the bumpers, side panels, and profile of the car is heavily revised. It looks chiseled and sculpted. It’s a concept after all. Let’s hope they keep all the good stuff in the production version. And also let’s hope they apply the new philosophy to their other products as well.
