Jeep, apparently, has a surprise in store for the 2013 Detroit Motor Show. They will unveil a new version of the Grand Cherokee SUV at the show, featuring a rather thorough facelift that make it look substantially different than the current model.
The image above is the first teaser shot (enhanced by the folks over at CarScoop) of the new Jeep, even though at first glance it appears to be a Chrysler 300. But if you look closer you notice it has a seven-slot grille, which is Jeep’s signature dish.
No further details currently available on the new Grand Cherokee, but given the fact that its design is inspired by the 300, it’s going to be a handsome SUV. IF it’s a mere facelift with no technical change, the GC would still get a Pentastar V6 and a HEMI V8 in America, and a couple of diesels in Europe.
We’ll keep you posted.
