Chosen by European Commission to create an exotic electric car in order to overcome technological and social obstacles in developing EVs, Spanish car maker Applus+ IDIADA came up with this rather magnificent car called Volar-e. It is based on another great electric car, the Rimac Concept, and has the same 1000-hp powertrain.
The Volar-e has four electric motors on all four wheels that develop 1080 horsepower and over 1000NM of torque, which gives you a 0 to 100 km/h time of 3.5 seconds and top speed of 300 km/h. You can also charge it up in just 20 minutes using a special fast charger.
Other features include four-wheel-drive, independent torque control on each of the wheels, carbon fiber chassis and body, advanced aerodynamics, regenerative brakes, carbon ceramic discs, and adjustable suspension.
Keep an eye out for the Volar-e at the Geneva Motor Show.
