Suzuki has brought the new SX4, the production version of the S-Cross concept, to this year’s Geneva Motor Show to show the public what the successor to the current SX4 will look like. The SX4 is a fairly compact crossover, and this compactness is what Suzuki believes will set it apart from the rivals.
The bold styling of the car is backed up by versatile underpinnings including the Next generation 4WD with ALLGRIP technology, and powertrains that offer the lowest CO2 emissions in its category.
The car is also quite aerodynamic for its size, thanks to smooth contours across the side of the body, a modulated line running from front to rear, low drag wheels and door mirrors. You also get some nice features such as the world’s first double sliding glass sunroof. As for the practicality, you have 430 liters of cargo space.
The SX4 will launch with a 1.6 liter petrol and a 1.6 liter diesel engine with either a manual or a CVT transmission.
The CO2 emissions target for the new SX4Crossover petrol models are
- 125g/km* with two wheel drive (2WD) manual transmission
- 125g/km with 2WD CVT
- 136g/km* with 4WD manual transmission
- 136g/km with 4WD CVT.
The CO2 emissions for the diesel models are
- 110g/km* with 2WD manual transmission
- 115g/km* with 4WD manual transmission.
