This is it, the new Ferrari hyper car we’ve been all waiting for. Turns out the car is called “LaFerrari” which is Italian for “The Ferrari”. So it must be the defining Ferrari, the very epitome of the brand. It’s a good job then it is awesomely powerful and fast.
Official details and pictures of the car are yet to be released – Geneva Motor Show unveiling is imminent – but from what we know, LaFerrari is powered by a V12 KERS engine developing in excess of 960 horsepower and 663 pound-feet (900 NM) of torque.
So you can expect a 0 to 100 km/h time of under 3 seconds. The top speed, though, is said to be limited to 350 km/h (217 mph), just like the McLaren P1. Maybe Ferrari, McLaren, and Porsche have reached an agreement not to make their new hyper car faster than that.
Stay tuned for official details.
