In an attempt to improve the brand’s image as a luxury auto maker, Hyundai teamed up with Hermes to create a unique version of the Equus. Based on the long wheelbase version of the car, it features bespoke exterior and interior treatments.
The highlight of this car is, of course, the interior, where you find a lounge-like passenger compartment in the back with two individual seats, a mini bar, glass holders and folding tables. It is inspired by first-class aircraft cabins.
The whole interior is wrapped in fine caramel color leather garnished with more exotic stuff like crocodile leather. This bit is designed entirely by Hermes. The front passenger compartment is also fully leather-wrapped, but with the extra legroom and all the new luxury amenities at the back, that’s where you want to be.
Hyundai is apparently going to make three Equus by Hermes, but none of them are for sale.
