I know it’s almost too good to be true, but this could be the next Hyundai Genesis Coupe. The HND-9, revealed at the Seoul Motor Show, is an evolution of the HCD-14 design study that will be the base for the next Hyundai Genesis Sedan.
The concept is also equipped with a brand-new engine that will be used in the next Genesis Coupe. This 3.3 liter turbocharged V6 will replace the current 3.8 liter gas guzzler V6 and delivers 330 horsepower. The power still goes to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is not clear yet what kind of differential they will use, but chances are it will be a limited slip type.
As for the design, while most of the concept’s details won’t make into the production model – stuff like the 3D grille, 22-inch wheels and fancy doors – but if the profile remains unchanged, that is something to be celebrated.
